Maŕa Peralta Studio, Collection 001 'Permanence' is where MPS begins the foundation from which everything is built. Rooted in the early experimentation of Maŕa Peralta as she transitioned from sound to steel, this collection represents the first language of the studio: raw, direct, and resolved. Permanence is not nostalgia it is commitment. The decision to work with metal as a permanent medium, to build pieces that do not soften or disappear with time.

The collection introduces the core MPS vocabulary: industrial hardware sourced from the infrastructure of New York City, recontextualized into wearable utilitarian objects. Each piece is a study in structure how material holds form, how construction becomes design, how function becomes identity. Collection 001 is the original investigation into what it means to build something that lasts.

Maŕa approaches these first pieces the way she approaches composition with restraint, repetition, and intention. There is no excess. Only what is necessary, made permanent. Collection 001 remains the throughline of MPS: the original signal from which every collection evolves.
